Materials
-glass pebbles
-cardstock or thick paper
-pencil
-markers and pencil crayons
-clear liquid glue or Mod Podge
-paint brush
-container of water
-scissors
-magnets (optional)
Instructions
1. Trace a glass pebble onto the paper. You can find glass pebbles at places like the dollar store in the garden or craft aisle! They have a round side and a flat side.
2. Choose 2-4 colours that are similar. Like green, yellow, blue. Or red, orange, yellow. Colour in the circle. Layer and blend the colours together.
3. With a black marker or pen, draw the pupil of the eye. The shape is like a diamond with rounded sides. Cut the circle out with scissors. Apply a thin, even layer of clear glue or Mod Podge onto the flat side of the pebble. Then glue your design on. Make sure your design is facing the other way so it shows up on the round side. Smooth it out with your fingers.
Don’t forget to soak your brush in water so the glue doesn’t dry onto the bristles!
6. Once it is dry you are done! If you’d like, you can also hot glue a magnet onto the back to stick it onto your fridge or locker!
This geode design is made with layering colours in a circular pattern and has gold acrylic paint detail.
